Children’s Mental Health Week 2026
At the beginning of the week, our School Council and Eco Committee met to discuss Mental Health and Wellbeing and came up with lots of thoughtful ideas for the days ahead. They also led our assembly, sharing important messages about caring for ourselves and supporting one another. Their enthusiasm set a positive tone for the rest of the week, and we were excited to see what each class would take part in.
To launch the week’s activities, Mrs Power led a calming yoga session with the P3/4 class, which the pupils found both relaxing and enjoyable.
Across the school, there were lots of exciting things happening in all classrooms to celebrate Children’s Mental Health Week. Pupils took part in yoga and mindfulness, enjoyed planting bulbs, and created colourful posters filled with affirmations and uplifting messages. These wonderful pieces of work have brightened our corridors and reminded everyone of the importance of positivity and self-belief.
Throughout the week, the children embraced every activity with creativity and enthusiasm. We were all manifesting plenty of positive energy and affirmations, taking time to reflect, be kind, and celebrate what makes each of us unique.
We are incredibly proud of how our pupils approached Children’s Mental Health Week. Their ideas, teamwork, and thoughtful participation truly reflected the spirit of wellbeing and community.
