Moveable Toys with P3/4

A huge thanks to Bea from Sentinus who visited P3/4 this morning. Everyone had great fun taking part in lots of practical science activities and experiments. All pupils had the opportunity to learn about 'Moveable Toys' using push and pull forces. They created their own spinners using wheels, CDs and marbles. Pupils then worked in pairs to construct their very own moveable car. They had to ensure that they created their car in such a way that it would carry a small load of marbles. We then had a competition using fair test conditions to see whose car would travel the furthest.     P3/4 thoroughly enjoyed this fun-filled morning, a word of thanks to Miss McCarthy for organising this for us.
