P4 Paired Reading Programme 2024

Primary Four pupils in Mr King and Mrs Grimley's classes were so excited today, Monday 15th April 2024 as the Paired Reading Programme is launched. 

Pupils are encouraged to read with a parent/guardian/adult at least three times per week. An information leaflet and reading diary has been sent home with P4 pupils today.

This year each P4 pupil has a 'reading buddy' from Miss Mc Carthy's class. An opportunity will be provided twice a week for 15 mins for the pupils to read together.

Were applicable, P4 pupils are able to take a comprehension quiz on completing each book to boost their Accelerated Reading score and work towards meeting their target! 

We hope this experience will prove to be worthwhile for all involved over the next four weeks. 

Reading is a wonderful skill to promote and we have lots of beautiful books available to choose from.

Books can be changed as needed throughout the programme in school.
