A Special Thank You to Mr. McBrien

2nd Dec 2025

Today we were delighted to welcome Mr. McBrien, our diocesan advisor, to our school. From the moment he arrived, he was full of praise for the warm welcome he received from both pupils and staff. He was particularly impressed by the children’s excellent manners and their wonderful knowledge about God, Advent, and the true meaning of this special season.

To make the visit even more memorable, Mr. McBrien shared his musical talents with us, performing a fantastic selection of well-known tunes on his guitar and singing along. His repertoire ranged from lively country classics to festive Christmas songs. At one point, the fun reached new heights when Mrs. McCartan and Mrs. Lyness joined in for a bit of jiving—what a sight!

Our school choir then returned the favour by entertaining Mr. McBrien with their beautiful rendition of Mary Did You Know, which he described as very special and deeply moving. It was a lovely way to end a truly joyful morning.

We are so grateful to Mr. McBrien for giving up his time to visit us and for the kind and encouraging comments he made about our school. His words mean so much to us, and we look forward to welcoming him back again soon.
