A Spud-tacular Visit!

Many thanks to Mrs Lavery who visited P1/2 and P2/3 today to talk all about potatoes!
The children were excited to hold seed potatoes and reflect on what they planted a few months ago. They explored how potatoes grow—developing roots underground and reaching toward the sun with their stems and leaves. They learned how these amazing plants get their nutrition from the sun, soil and water and just how healthy they are for us too!
Everyone had a fantastic time and learned so much.
