Be Safe, Be Seen
On Thursday 27th February P.3/4 enjoyed a visit from Sandra from the Policing and Community Safety Partnership. She spoke to the pupils about how to be safe and be seen when they are out and about. They looked at the various ways they can make themselves be clearly seen such as wearing a hi-vis waistcoat, a fluorescent slap band and a torch.
Sandra advised everyone to make sure they check their bicycle reflectors after use so that they are clean and visible to all vehicles. She also reminded us about using the Green Cross Code – STOP, LOOK and LISTEN correctly. Sandra talked about wearing your seatbelt properly and what to say to the driver if they are using a mobile phone, “Put that down, keep me safe!”
We hope everyone uses this knowledge when they are out walking, cycling and driving. Many thanks to Sandra for delivering these important messages today.
