Many thanks to St. Patrick’s College and Banbridge High School in association with Clanmil Housing Association, for their very kind invitation to the launch of their joint Shared Education Book, Captain Francis Crozier – Banbridge’s Arctic Voyager, today, in Banbridge Old Town Hall. Not only was it the first engagement of our newly elected P.7 school councillors Blathnaid and Oliver, but it also was an opportunity to meet with the Minister for Education, Michelle McIveen along with Lord Mayor Councillor Paul Greenfield. This was the second such meeting with Councillor Greenfield that Blathnaid and Oliver have had, and he recognised them from his first public engagement as Lord Mayor back in June when he presented us with our second Green Flag.
Congratulations to all involved in the production and publication of the book and we look forward to using it as a learning resource for a project on Captain Crozier, later in the year.
