Catholic Schools Week

20th Jan 2025
This week, we celebrate Catholic Schools Week 2025, which takes place from Sunday, January 19th, to Saturday, January 25th. The theme for this year is ‘Catholic Schools: Alive in Christ,’ highlighting the vibrant faith and mission that unite our school and parish communities.
To mark the beginning of Catholic Schools Week, Mr. King led a whole school assembly. We listened to prayers, shared meaningful readings and discussed how we, as a school community, are truly ‘Alive in Christ.’

Throughout the week, we reflect on and honour the deep connection between our school and parish, recognising that together, we share the joy and hope of Christ. By working hand in hand as a living faith community, we support and uplift one another, striving to live out the values of compassion, service and love.
This celebration is a special time for us to come together in prayer, not only for one another but also with one another, as we acknowledge and embrace our shared mission of faith and education. To mark this meaningful week, we have planned a variety of events and activities that will take place in both school and our church that reflect the spirit of the theme.
On Wednesday staff and pupils will represent our school community at a special Catholic Schools Week Mass in St Anthony's Church, Craigavon.

A key highlight of the week will be a Grandparents’ Day Mass, taking place on Thursday, January 23rd in St. John's Church. This beloved tradition will incorporate this year’s theme, providing a wonderful opportunity to honour and celebrate the important role grandparents play in nurturing faith within families.
We look forward to this special week filled with prayer, celebration and community spirit as we live out the joy of being ‘Alive in Christ.’
