On Wednesday 27th January a number of staff and pupils from St John's P.S. travelled to Newry Cathedral to join with all the other schools in the Dromore Diocese in a special Mass marking Catholic Schools’ Week.
The main celebrant was Bishop McAreavey and he was joined on the altar by a number of priests from the various parishes.
This year the theme of Catholic Schools’ Week is ‘Challenged to Proclaim God’s Mercy’. We were delighted to have the opportunity to take part in this special event as a way of marking the beginning of Catholic Schools' Week 2016 and celebrating with other schools in our Diocese.
