Catholic Schools Week 2026
Today, a group of our Primary Seven girls had the wonderful opportunity to travel with Mrs Lyness and Mrs Power to Newry Cathedral, where they joined pupils from many other schools across the Diocese in marking Catholic Schools Week 2026. This special celebration led by Archbishop Eamon Martin, focused on the theme “Ordinary Lives Called to Holiness,” a message that encourages every young person to recognise their unique gifts and their ability to bring kindness, joy, and faith into the world.
The Cathedral was filled with music, prayer, and a strong sense of community as schools came together to reflect on what it means to live out our values in everyday life. Our girls participated with exceptional reverence, demonstrating beautiful manners, maturity, and a sincere appreciation of the service. They sang along confidently and tunefully, contributing to the uplifting atmosphere of the celebration.
We could not be more proud of how they represented our school. Their behaviour, respectfulness, and enthusiasm throughout the day were truly commendable. Well done, girls—you were a credit to yourselves, your families, and our school community.
