Celebrating Mrs. McConville’s Retirement: 30 Years of Dedication and Care

26th Jun 2025

After 30 years of unwavering dedication, support, and kindness, we say a fond farewell to Mrs. McConville as she retires from her role as the Foundation Stage Classroom Assistant at St John’s Primary School.

Mrs. McConville has been an integral part of school life for three decades — nurturing, guiding, and encouraging generations of children with her calm presence and tireless commitment. Her care for pupils, her support for colleagues, and her deep love for the school community have made a lasting impact on everyone who had the pleasure of working alongside her.

Over the years, she has worn many hats — helping in the classroom, comforting nervous little ones on their first day, supporting learning with patience and creativity, and always going the extra mile without seeking the spotlight. Her presence has been a steady source of reassurance, joy, and quiet strength.

At her retirement presentation today, she was presented with a beautiful cast iron summer seat, some jewellery and gift vouchers that she could treat herself.

As she steps into this new chapter, we send Mrs. McConville our heartfelt thanks and every good wish for a happy, healthy, and well-deserved retirement. She leaves St John’s with the warmest of memories, and a school forever grateful for her remarkable 30 years of service.

Thank you, Mrs. McConville — you will be truly missed.
