Warmest congratulations to our P.7 Confirmandi who received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Thursday, 5th March 2026, in the Church of St Patrick & St Colman’s, Laurencetown. It was a truly beautiful and prayerful celebration, and the children made us immensely proud by the reverence, confidence, and maturity they showed throughout the ceremony. Their participation—through thoughtful readings, joyful singing, and musical accompaniment—was outstanding and deeply moving.
A heartfelt word of thanks is extended to the families—parents, guardians, grandparents, Sponsors, and relatives—who have supported and encouraged the children every step of the way. Their guidance, love, and example play a vital role in shaping the young people they are becoming, and their presence tonight was a testament to that commitment.
We extend our sincere congratulations and thanks to Mrs McCarthy for preparing the P.7 pupils so diligently and thoughtfully for this very special occasion. Our gratitude also goes to Mrs Power for directing and leading the delightful singing, and to Mrs Brennan for providing the wonderful musical accompaniment that added so much to the celebration.
We are deeply grateful to Fr Colum Murphy for joining us this evening and helping us to celebrate the Sacrament in Fr Des’s absence. We send our very best wishes to Fr Des and wish him a speedy and full recovery.
A big thank you also to the parish team for preparing the church so beautifully and ensuring that everything was in place for such a meaningful occasion. Their behind-the-scenes work is truly appreciated.
A special thanks to all the staff for the time, effort, and dedication they invest each day in our pupils.
Congratulations once again to our P.7 boys and girls. May the gifts of the Holy Spirit guide their choices, strengthen their character, and inspire them to live with kindness, courage, and integrity in all that they do, today and always.
