First Holy Communion 2022

Huge congratulations to all our P.4 children on receiving the Sacrament of First Holy Communion today in St. John’s Church, Gilford. All of the children conducted themselves so reverently and certainly did their parents, families, teachers and indeed our whole school and parish community proud. Well done boys and girls, we hope you enjoyed your special day!

Many thanks to Canon Powell for such a beautiful service. Thanks also to Mrs Grimley & Mr King for their hard work and meticulous planning in preparing the children. Thanks to our school Choir, Mrs Pauline Power, Mrs Dolores McConville & Ms Pat McAlinden for the beautiful singing and musical accompaniment and indeed to all our staff and anyone else who played a role in helping today pass off so well. A special thanks also to those parents and helpers who very kindly stayed in school to prepare the tea and party for after the service and to Mrs Jane Teggart for making us the most fabulous Communion cake!
