HOME LEARNING PACK 2
Staff have been very busy over Easter preparing further work and investigating an alternative method of keeping in touch called Seesaw. Further guidance on Seesaw will follow.
New Home Learning packs will be available for collection from the school office on Fri 24th April. These will contain approximately a further 4 weeks worth of work.
We are conscious that learning will be happening at different rates across our households so don’t worry about completing everything, try your best to do what you can. We are so grateful for everyone’s support during these unprecedented times. Please be assured that when school does return to normal, we will be picking up from where we left off. No child will be considered as being ‘ahead’ or ‘behind’ with their work.
Routines with school work are important during this time but good mental health and well being for both you and your child is equally as important. Enjoy time together as a family, try new things, learn a new skill, this is what the children will hopefully remember in years to come.
As with our previous distribution of packs, we will be staggering the pick up times. Please, please ensure that social distancing is adhered to and if you can, pick up packs for friends and neighbours to limit the numbers coming up to school.
As a guide, we are asking that you collect packs during the following times:
P.1-3 9-10am
P.4-5 10-11am
P.6-7 11-12noon
Remember to keep checking our school website for updates and if possible follow our Friends of St John's Facebook page for tips and ideas.
Please feel free to direct any queries to our school email info@stjohns.gilford.ni.sch.uk and we will endeavour to reply promptly.
Continue to be sensible and follow guidance given in regards to dealing with COVID-19 and we pray that each and every one of our community stay safe.
