Important Cycling & Scooting Reminders
IMPORTANT: CYCLING AND SCOOTING REMINDERS
Some children cycle or scoot to school, and we want to ensure everyone arrives safely. Please take note of the following important reminders:
• Children must dismount their bike or scooter at the end of the school driveway and WALK it to the bicycle stand.
• Cycling or scooting is not permitted on school grounds due to the high number of pupils, staff, and families moving around. This helps reduce the risk of accidents or injuries.
• Helmets must be worn at all times for safety.
• Electric scooters are not allowed on school grounds. They are expensive, at risk of theft or damage, and can travel at high speeds, increasing safety concerns.
• Please note: As advised today by the Banbridge Neighbourhood Policing Team, e-scooters cannot be ridden on public roads or pavements, and doing so may result in a substantial fine. They are therefore not permitted on school premises.
Please see the attached flyer for further details.
Thank you for helping us keep our school community safe!
