Local Author Gives Creative Writing Masterclass at St. John’s P.S.
P.6/7 had a treat today as they had the pleasure of working with well known local author and Rostrevor native, Declan Carville. Declan has written many books over the last few years including A Day To Remember At The Giant's Causeway, The Fairy Glen, The Magic Harp and Nelly Fandango, to name but a few. He spoke to the children about the different aspects of great storytelling and he showed them how to use iPads to create animations to accompany their digital stories. All in all, a great day for our boys and girls - who knows, we may have a future author in there somewhere!
