P4/5 STEM Workshop on floating and sinking
P4/5 pupils had a visit from Beatrice from Sentinus today. The focus of the workshop was exploring STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). During the workshop pupils learned about why certain objects float while others sink. There was lots of experimentation and questions asked. Pupils then had to build a boat which would float and be able to carry a load. Coins were used to make it a fair test. Lots of great designs were tested and modified. Everyone really enjoyed the workshop. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Beatrice for providing such an informative session today.
