P6/7 STEM Experience Day
4th Jun 2025
P6/7 had a fantastic day at the Sentinus STEM Experience Day held at South Lake Leisure Centre! The pupils engaged in a wide variety of hands-on workshops led by the Royal Navy, Mark 'The Science Guy', and a specialist Flight Workshop team. They explored exciting science experiments, built electric circuits, coded robotic balls, and even designed and launched their own rockets.
As part of the day, the class also took on the Construction Challenge, we have been working hard in claas to design a sustainable house for the future. We received a certificate from Construction Futures for taking part .
A huge congratulations to Kian, Oliver, Michael, and Leo who represented our school in the STEM and K'NEX Challenges. Their tasks included designing an air-powered vehicle and constructing a drawbridge using K'NEX, both requiring creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving.
A special shoutout to Kian and Oliver who won first place in the STEM Challenge, an incredible achievement with over 15 schools competing!
A big thank you to Sentinus for organising such an engaging, educational, and fun-filled day!
