Red & Black Day! ❤️🖤 Good Luck Down!

St. John’s was awash with a sea of red and black today (with maybe 1 or 2 orange shirts!!) to show their support to Mr McParland’s Down team mates, ahead of their big match tomorrow with the rival Armagh boys! 

We all waited in anticipation ahead of the raffle for 2 signed Down balls. Many thanks to everyone for their generosity in supporting the raffle and a special mention goes out to Darren in P.5 & Diego in P.6 who were the lucky recipients of the balls.

Many thanks to the school council for promoting and selling the raffle tickets; thanks also to Miss McCarthy for getting the balls and to Mr McParland for getting them signed. A huge total of £315 was raised for school funds from ticket sales! Well done everyone 👏👏

Our Red & Black Day also coincided with our P.5 pupil, Araylia’s last day. We are very sorry to lose you Araylia but we wish you well in your new school and in the future!
