A Fantastic Sports Day to Remember!

We were delighted to enjoy a wonderful Sports Day today, and thankfully the weather was on our side, allowing us to go ahead with all of our planned activities. It was fantastic to see everyone taking part, showing great enthusiasm, determination and sportsmanship throughout the day.

A huge thank you goes to all of our staff for their hard work in organising the event and helping to supervise the many activities and races. Special thanks to Mr McParland for putting everyone through their paces during the warm-up and for expertly starting each race throughout the day and to the ladies for their judging at the finish line, not an easy task!

We would also like to thank everyone who helped serve tea and coffee, ensuring that our visitors were well looked after. A very special thank you goes to Mrs Jane Teggart for baking and supplying the delicious treats that were enjoyed by all.

A special thank you must also go to Stacey and Eurospar for their generous sponsorship of the event. We are extremely grateful for the participation medals provided for every child, along with the many tasty treats enjoyed throughout the day. The delicious ice lollies at the end of the event were particularly welcome and helped everyone cool down after a busy and energetic day!

We were delighted to welcome so many parents, grandparents and family members who came along to support the children and cheer them on during the races. Your encouragement and enthusiasm helped to create a fantastic atmosphere. Thank you also to everyone else who helped out in any way behind the scenes to make the day such a success.

What a brilliant way to finish the day with the eagerly anticipated Parents vs Staff Tug of War! The odds didn’t look particularly favourable for the staff, but somehow they managed to dig deep and pull it out of the bag for the second year running. The staff remain the undefeated champions and will no doubt be proudly holding onto that title for another year!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making Sports Day 2026 such an enjoyable and memorable occasion. A great day was had by all, and we look forward to doing it all again next year!
