Tandragee Recreation Centre – Christmas Cup

St. John’s P.S. went along to the annual Christmas Cup Competition on 3^rd December. There were nine teams participating which meant getting through to the semi-final and final would be exceptionally difficult.

Each game was four minutes long with the four highest team’s point total reaching the semi-finals.

The results were as follows:

Game 1: St. John’s P.S. 0-1Moyallon P.S.

Game 2: St. John’s P.S. 3-0 Tandragee P.S. (A Team)

Game 3: St. John’s P.S. 0-2 Mullavilly P.S.

Game 4: St. John’s P.S. 0-0 Derryhale P.S.

Game 5: St. John’s P.S. 1-0 Richmount P.S.

Game 6: St. John’s P.S. 0-1 Tandragee P.S. (B Team)

Game 7: St. John’s P.S. 0-0 Poyntzpass P.S.

Game 8: St. John’s P.S. 1-0 Clare P.S.

St. John’s played very well with some fine passing moves on display but hitting crossbars and posts went against the team sadly. It was a great morning for the boys but unfortunately eight points was not enough to get them to the semi-final. St. John’s finished fifth overall. The final was won by Tandragee P.S. (A Team) who beat Moyallon P.S. 1-0.
