Walk & Talk 2024

On Tuesday 25th June, our whole school took part in a walk initiated by our school council as part of a Mental Health & Wellbeing Day to get our young people, their families and members of the wider community out walking and talking.

This took place along the river walk and despite a little bit of drizzle, we didn’t let it dampen our spirits! It was lovely to see some of our families and members of the wider community along the way & we all loved having a bit of craic with each other.

Afterwards we came back to school and made a special presentation to Leeanne Carey which will be displayed in the Changing Lives NI Support Hub in Gilford. We hope this will bring a little bit of joy and hope to those who need it. 

We aim to make this ‘walk and talk’ an annual event to celebrate the importance of looking after our health and wellbeing.
