World Book Day in St. John's
Everyone celebrated World Book Day in St. John's.
P1 & P2 dressed up as their favourite character and had the pleasure of meeting Mary Poppins and they enjoyed sharing books together.
Children in P3 celebrated World Book Day by sharing lots of stories by Jeanne Willis.
They also had the opportunity to finish reading their class novel “The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark” by Jill Tomlinson. They all loved the ending when Plop the little barn owl was no longer afraid of the dark. Everyone loves a happy ending!
P4 pupils created their own version of 'The Hodgeheg'.
P5 pupils celebrated World Book Day by creating a list of their Top 10 Authors and Books. They also designed character selfies of their favourite characters from novels and they researched information about the most popular authors.
P6/7 created their own book covers and blurbs to celebrate their love of reading.
