World Book Day

Today, as part of our World Book Day celebrations, St. John's was filled with excitement as everyone took part in a variety of creative and engaging activities. Miss Farnon, Mr. King, and Miss Seeley's classes had the pleasure of welcoming local author Pauline McGarry, who captivated the children with her wonderful stories. Her visit perfectly complemented this year’s theme, "Read Your Way," making the morning truly special. A heartfelt thank you to Pauline for making this visit so memorable!

Everyone embraced the spirit of the day by dressing up as their favourite book characters and sharing stories together, while all classes participated in a range of fun and creative activities.

A highlight of the day was paired reading, where children had the opportunity to share stories with a buddy from another class. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying books together!
